Hello, I'm Maria - an entrepreneur, educator, trainer, coach, traveler, explorer, and lifelong learner.
For a long time, I struggled with the idea of having to choose just one path or career, until I realized that I could create a life on my own terms. After years of gaining knowledge and professional experience all over the world, I founded the Global Citizen Education Center in 2018, where I merged my passions for personal and professional development, communication, and foreign languages. My mission now is to share all the knowledge and experiences I've acquired over the years and support you in achieving your dreams and goals as well.
However, my journey has been far from short.
Ever since I was a kid, I dreamed of speaking all the languages of the world so that I could travel, explore diverse cultures, and connect with people worldwide. French was my first language, followed by English, German, and Spanish. I studied English language, literature, and culture at the Faculty of Philology in Belgrade, and during this time, I continued to enhance my German and Spanish skills.
While studying for my undergraduate degree, I took a giant leap out of my comfort zone and lived and worked in Germany, India, and Spain. In each of those places, I discovered my passion for leadership, management, and team development while working on international educational projects with the world's largest student organization, AIESEC. This newfound love led me to pursue a master's degree in project management at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Belgrade.
At the same time, I discovered neurolinguistic programming (NLP) and fell head over heels in love with it, as well as with the entire area of personal and professional development. After becoming an NLP practitioner and NLP master, and experiencing significant personal changes and accomplishments, I decided to spread the knowledge and became an international NLP trainer certified by the Swiss organization, IANLP. Following that, I trained to become a coach of the Points of You (POY) and neurolinguistic programming (NLP) methodologies. As I consider learning a lifelong process that I genuinely enjoy, in 2022 I completed the executive Master in Leadership, ICF Coaching, and Emotional Intelligence at the international EAE business school in Madrid.
Today, I reside in Spain and collaborate with people and companies around the world in English, Spanish and Serbian. Through my educational programs, I help them achieve their greatest goals and realize success without boundaries.
I deeply believe in people, and that they have the power to make positive changes in themselves and others when they are connected to their inner selves and live in alignment with their values.
That's why my mission is to inspire and support people worldwide to grow both personally and professionally, in order to express themselves and their unique talents, and to share all of that with others to create a positive impact wherever they go.
